Important Update Regarding Product Labelling

We have listened carefully to your feedback regarding product labels, and we have taken significant steps to improve our labelling process.

We understand how important clear and accurate product labelling is for our customers, particularly when selling imported food and drink products within the UK. To improve the service we provide, we have now expanded our labelling operation and increased the checks carried out on our products.

Our team is carefully reviewing products that require additional UK labelling and preparing the relevant labels before the goods are dispatched. Where supplementary UK labels are required, the labels are placed inside the product cases so that they are available to you when your order arrives.

Why Are Additional UK Labels Required?

Many of the products we supply are imported from different countries and may originally have packaging designed for another market. Although the original packaging may already contain product information, additional information may sometimes be required before the product is offered for sale in the UK.

For prepacked food and drink products, UK food information rules generally require customers to have access to important information such as:

  • The name of the product

  • A full ingredients list, where required

  • Clearly highlighted allergen information

  • Net weight or volume

  • Best-before or use-by information, where applicable

  • Storage conditions and instructions for use, where necessary

  • Nutrition information, where required

  • Country of origin or place of provenance, where required

  • Certain legally required warnings, depending on the ingredients or type of product

  • The name and address of the responsible food business or UK importer, as applicable

These requirements are designed to make sure that consumers can clearly understand what they are purchasing and, most importantly, have access to essential information about ingredients and allergens.

How Our Labelling Service Works

As a wholesaler handling a large number of individual products, cases and different product lines, we have increased the size of our labelling operation so that we can provide our customers with the necessary labels more efficiently.

However, we would like to clarify an important point about our service:

We provide the supplementary labels inside the cases, but we do not currently offer a service where our team applies a label to every individual product inside each case.

For example, if a case contains 24 individual drinks and those products require supplementary labels, the appropriate labels may be supplied inside the case. The labels can then be applied to the individual products before they are offered for sale to the final consumer.

This allows us to continue offering a wide range of imported products while processing orders efficiently and ensuring that our customers receive the additional labelling information they need.

Please Check Products Before Offering Them for Sale

If you are purchasing products from us for resale, we strongly recommend checking the products and any supplementary labels supplied inside the cases before placing them on your shelves or offering them to your customers.

Under UK food information rules, mandatory information for prepacked products must ultimately be available to the final consumer in the required form. Therefore, where we have supplied additional labels inside a case, please make sure that any labels required for the individual retail units are correctly applied before those products are sold to consumers.

We Are Here to Help

We appreciate all of the feedback we have received from our customers. It has helped us identify where improvements were needed, and expanding our labelling operation is one of the steps we have taken as a result.

We will continue reviewing and improving our processes to make ordering imported products from us as straightforward as possible.

If you receive an order and believe that a label is missing, you are unsure which label belongs to a particular product, or you have any other concerns regarding product labelling, please contact our team before placing the product on sale.

You can always give us a call and our team will be happy to look into the issue and assist you.

Thank you for your continued support, patience and feedback. We are committed to providing a better and more reliable service to all of our customers.
